Job Title: Ground Crew Instructor – Avionic

Salary: £47,000

What you’ll be doing

  • Delivering allocated training courses in line with approved syllabuses, Instructor Standards, and Master Instructor Guides (MIG), following the schedules set out on FlightPro in accordance with TTF39
  • Supporting effective planning and delivery by ensuring all training activities, including those outside normal working hours, are authorised and recorded by the GMS Planner on FlightPro
  • Maintaining regular communication with Line Managers to report on training activities and provide continuous assessment and feedback on student progress
  • Conducting examinations and assessments, including invigilation, marking, verification, and debriefing, in line with established procedures (PROQ21512 and TTF40)
  • Promoting a safe training environment by ensuring students use correct, serviceable PPE and follow all relevant safety procedures during practical sessions

Your skills and experiences

Essential:

  • Aerospace Engineering related qualification at Level 3 GNVQ, BTEC ONC/HNC or equivalent
  • Related RAF (JPA Competency) / industry aircraft type engineering trade qualification
  • Minimum 5 years hands on experience within an aircraft Maintenance & Support environment, including training delivery

Desirable:

  • MAOS Airworthiness Awareness
  • Human Factors Training
  • Training Qualification at Level 3 or above e.g. Level 3 Award in Education & Training
  • Sound knowledge of assessment strategies and examination processes
  • Strong understanding of instructional techniques, communication skills, and learning theories with experience in delivering training and awareness of key business performance metrics

The Ground Crew Avionic team

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a GMS Instructor/Examiner, where you’ll play a key role in developing the next generation of skilled professionals. Reporting to your Trade Senior Instructor (SI), you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality training in line with the approved syllabus, Instructor Standards, and Master Instructor Guide (MIG), following the established training schedule.
