BAE Systems do offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however it is expected on our Graduate Programme you will be required to attend your site 3-4 days per week. The hybrid working arrangements including which days you are required to work on site/remotely will be outlined by your line manager.

What you will be doing 
Within BAESYSTEMS we have Graduate opportunities working within our Systems Engineering Disciplines; Flight, Mission and General Systems. As a Graduate Engineer you will be able to bring your skills and knowledge into one of these domains, specialising or integrating across products and tools. You will have opportunities to work on different stages of a product lifecycle; from product conception, architecting, technical design through to systems integration, testing, qualification and acceptance of a product/system. 
As well as the technical aspects of projects, you will also learn to consider important factors such as task schedules, costs, training, through life support whilst always considering safety and environmental concerns.
Under technical supervision, you will provide Systems Engineering services to Product & Training projects, bids and improvement initiatives as directed by the Engineering Managers.

Duties and Responsibilities 

•    Supporting the development of strategies to ensure that systems are designed and integrated so that they fully satisfy the customer and business needs/requirements
•    Capturing and analysing requirements in order to understand the customer/business needs and the context in which the system will be used
•    Supporting the design and optimisation of system architectures and solutions using system modelling techniques
•    Facilitating successful integration of systems and sub-systems
•    Determining the emergent properties of a system to support trade-offs, optimisation, risk reduction and integration testing
•    Defining the verification and validation approach in order to achieve certification and acceptance of the system
•    Supporting the identification of safety hazards and the assessment and mitigation of safety risk
•    Providing systems engineering support to project and functional teams

Skills
