What you will be doing
As a Graduate, you will join our Project Management team, where you will be responsible for the planning and execution of a variety of small yet vital projects. You will oversee the management and delivery of projects, work packages, and tasks, ensuring they meet key milestones within the set budget and quality standards. This role involves collaborating with both Engineering and Operations to define project scope, monitor progress, and address any challenges. When needed, you will either resolve issues directly or escalate them to the Portfolio Manager for additional support.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Working collaboratively with your team you will be involved in the development, design and manufacture of propelling charges for new munitions products and maintaining performance of legacy products.
- Conducting manufacture, assembly and inspection of a variety of explosively filled stores with pyrotechnic and secondary explosive material.
- Support the conducting and analysing performance tests for energetic materials and chemical properties.
- Characterisation of materials for key physical and chemical properties report writing.
- The role will require interaction with both customers and senior members of the team, and as such you will be able to communicate across all levels and demonstrate an understanding on how their tasks link to the wider Heavy Munitions aims.
- Through the business reporting structure, you will prepare using data from the business project control systems prepare regular reports to enable the Portfolio Manager to allow summary reports for the family of products to be created.
Skills
As a minimum requirement you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Studies or Project Management.
