Job title: Graduate Naval Ships Network Engineer

Location: Broad Oak. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 3-5 days per week.

Salary: £34,000 Per Annum + £2,000 Welcome Bonus

Role description 

As a Network Engineer, you will work closely with Software, Systems, and Hardware Engineers to develop and deliver real-world systems that operate reliably and effectively. The role involves supporting the development, testing, maintenance, and release of network software and hardware solutions, while also contributing to the design and implementation of network architectures. You will assist in resolving engineering challenges across programmes through requirements evaluation, problem solving, and the presentation of engineering deliverables. In addition, you will be responsible for producing and managing engineering documentation, including technical reports, meeting and briefing notes, presentations, and analyses relating to cost, schedule, and risk. The role also requires a strong understanding of networking technologies and topologies, including OSI Layers 1 to 3, as well as key networking principles and protocols such as LAN, VLAN, WAN, MPLS, QoS, and BGP

The Naval Ships Team 

We design and build offshore patrol vessels, giant aircraft carrier and provide complex warships including the Type 26 Frigate to the Royal Navy, giving the customer capability to fulfil operations around the world.

Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.

Qualification requirements

As a minimum requirement you must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in the following subjects: In any STEM subject.
