Job Title Graduate Naval Architect Salary £34,000 + £2000 Welcome bonus. We design and build a full range of naval ships from offshore patrol vessels through to giant aircraft carriers, giving customers the capability to fulfil extensive naval operations around the world. We are the only provider of complex warships and their combat managements to the UK Royal Navy’s surface fleet. Do you have what it takes to join our Naval ships team? What you will be doing Naval Architecture at BAE Systems Naval Ships covers a large part of the ship design lifecycle; from concept design, through design & build, trials and commissioning, and delivery to the customer. Roles are available across the discipline; in Wholeship Engineering, Structures, Hydrodynamics, Stability, and Seamanship and Outfit, to suit your interest and skillset. As a Graduate, you will be joining our Accelerate Scheme, designed to develop you as an integral member of our Engineering Capability. The Accelerate Scheme is driven by you, and will last 18-30 months depending on when you feel you are ready to exit. We will work with you to place you in a suitable role, tailored to your interest, where you will be a key part of a team for the duration of your scheme. We also provide the opportunity to get involved in projects outside of your primary remit. We encourage you to seek a stretch project in which you’ll gain different experiences.
