BAE Systems do offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however it is expected on our Graduate Programme you will be required to attend your site 2-3 days per week. The hybrid working arrangements including which days you are required to work on site/remotely will be outlined by your line manager.
Salary £34,000 + £2000 welcome bonus
What you will be doing
As a Graduate you will contribute to the design embodiment of the Combat Systems Elements of the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) Ship by:
• Assisting the Technical Lead with producing and developing complex designs, and compartment layouts, in line with specifications, quality and technical standards, and customer requirements.
• Providing technical support and knowledge to other design Disciplines as required. (seeking and sharing good practice and knowledge to continuously improve practices and processes).
• Appling Systems Engineering and Lifecycle Management Processes to ensure design viability.

Specific Activities may include:
• Assist Technical Leads with the production of, scheduled delivery, and maintenance of the suite of design information for the Combat Systems.
• Assist with the production of design artefacts in support of Detail Designers to ensure that Combat Systems compartment layouts are viable and in line with design intent.
• Ensure that design rules for the physical integration of the Combat System equipment are adhered to.
• Engage with the Platform System Disciplines to ensure that platform system interfaces are understood and agreed with the customer.
• Assist the Technical Lead in the production of estimates and schedules to support the Change Management Team.
• Ensuring Right First time delivery of design artefacts in support of major Lifecycle events.
Skills
As a minimum requirement you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM subject.
