Job Title: Graduate Integration Engineer
Location  – Brough (Hull)

BAE Systems do offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however it is expected on our Graduate Programme you will be required to attend your site 3-4 days per week. Please note, this may be subject to change in line with the needs of the business. The hybrid working arrangements including which days you are required to work on site/remotely will be outlined by your line manager.

Salary   – £34,000 + £2,000 Welcome Bonus

What you will be doing

As a graduate engineer you would be expected to be involved in a number of areas in order to develop a broad understanding of the Systems Engineering and Integration function. 

Work in a fast growing discipline applying systems engineering principles to the development of concepts and designs for customer service operations. You’ll gain experience across a number of areas and develop a broad understanding systems and activities undertaken in the design and development of innovative solutions.
Systems Engineering and Integration is a fast paced and growing area.  The engineering activities covered include; Operational Analysis, Product Integrity, Safety Engineering, Concept Engineering, Requirements, Qualification, Certification, Configuration Control, Product Maturity Management, Integration of sub-systems and Technical Management.

We also provide the opportunity to get involved in projects outside of your primary remit. We encourage you to seek a stretch project in which you’ll gain different experiences. Specific activities could include:

•    Engagement with customers, understanding their needs and translating these in to engineering requirements.
•    Integration of engineering activities across all aspects of Air platforms & products, covering all stages in the engineering lifecycle – from concept to delivery.

Follow your passion within the following specialist Systems Engineering and Integration domains:
•    Specialise in “Operational Analysis” to – Analyse concepts and influence future Air products before the concepts have even been fully matured, to ensure they are operationally effective, can evade current & future threats and can operate to their maximum potential.
•    Specialise in “Product Integrity, Airworthiness or Safety Engineering” to – Contribute to our outstanding safety record by ensuring our product are safe to operate and secure from hostile cyber threats. 
•    Specialise in “Platform Level Integration (Concepting, Requirements Management, Qualification, and Configuration Control” to – Be at the cutting edge of integration sub-systems in to whole systems and systematically ensuring complex engineering solutions are effectively integrated and cleared for flight.
•    Specialise in “Technical Management, Integration or Task Management” to – Interface across our engineering teams and customers, to ensure our products and solutions are delivered on time and exceed our customers’ expectations. 
• Liaise with Supply Chain, Operations, Test & Commissioning, ILS and other internal functions as required.
• Continually develop your systems capabilities to ensure knowledge and skills keep pace with best practice
• Articulate and present arguments clearly, logically and simply

Skills
As a minimum requirement you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering Degree, Aerospace related or any STEM
