Job Title: Flight Simulator Maintenance Engineer
Location: RAF Coningsby – on site
Salary: £37,548+ depending on skills and experience
Please note that this role will involve shift working.
What you’ll be doing:
• Ensure that the TTF/TSTF Synthetic Training devices are serviceable and available to meet the TyTAN daily flying program as directed by the relevant Team Leader
• Undertake the timely rectification of all reported defects on the synthetic devices and sub-components within TTF/TSTF
• Undertake all preventative maintenance on all devices within TTF/TSTF as dictated by current maintenance schedules
• Undertake all device software back-ups to maintain the devices at the most recent configuration standards
• Record all engineering tasks as completed and communicate all outstanding issues, through their Team Lead, to the ISS Team at BAE Systems Warton
• Assist in the training of maintainers to ensure continued advancement of team capabilities and technical skill sets
Your skills and experience:
• Very high level of computer literacy to administrator level
• Previous experience in an aircraft simulation or on-aircraft electronic engineering role
• Enhanced engineering fault finding skills
• Knowledge of the RAF operational, maintenance and supply chain activities
• The role requires very good interpersonal skills. It is a customer facing role directly interfacing with the staff within the facility and a variety of aircrew customers

Supporting the Simulator Maintenance Team Lead in ensuring that all devices are correctly configured and available to meet the time critical constraints of the daily flying program as dictated by the Aircrew Training Manager. This role will provide you with opportunity to work on most complex and newest flight simulators in the world and opportunity for career progression.
