Job title: Finance Business Partner

Location: Glascoed, South Wales or Radway Green, Cheshire. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £57 000 (dependant on skills and experience)

 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Partner with a multi-functional Integrated Delivery Team to optimise financial and operational performance across the programmes including financial reporting and forecasting for the Project(s) and providing input to stakeholders Instilling a cash awareness culture within the IDT and managing cash flow to optimise working capital
  • Support programme improvement activities and ongoing SAP implementation – Constructively challenge the programme, identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Partner with a multi-functional bid to provide robust financial challenge, ensuring the financial implications of pricing options, commercial terms, Rates and FX and Cashflow assumptions are clearly understood support business strategy
  • Lead the 5-year planning cycle for the IDT, challenging key assumptions, directing, coordinating and undertaking the IBP process in the Project area and analysing inputs, clearly communicating business strategy
  • Ensuring that the portfolio always operates to the Financial Policies Manual. Being the key contact for the IDT with external and internal auditors

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Fully qualified accountant
  • Previous experience in a project accounting role
  • Ability to business partner and build strong rapports with the project teams providing robust challenge where appropriate
  • Prior experience in consolidating financial information into management reports

Desirable:

  • Experience of bid work
  • Knowledge of SAP

The Finance Team:

You will provide financial support and advice to the team, driving the business to exceed financial performance targets, whilst ensuring sound financial controls are fully embedded. Supporting the wider functions within the business to deliver the customers’ requirements whilst returning the required value to the shareholders. Deputising for the Financial Controller as and when required.
