Job title: FCAS Retained Digital Capability Delivery Programme Manager

Location: Warton. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements. Please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: £63,900

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage the portfolio of DTS projects across the FCAS Retained line of business.
  • Support the transition of DTS capabilities that are being migrated into the GCAP JV Business.
  • Manages the provision of the business IM&T strategy in relation to Project Management – ensuring through stakeholder management, the strategy aligns to the business needs and objectives as well as representing the businesses best interests with the FCAS and GCAP  stakeholders
  • Supports the ownership for the provision of portfolio, programme and project support. Advises on the available standards, procedures, methods, tools and techniques
  • Leads programme/project leads and/or service owners to adhere to the agreed portfolio management approach and timetable and that they provide the appropriate information to agreed targets of timelines and accuracy
  • Produces reports as appropriate for portfolio governance, including making recommendations for changes to the portfolio
  • Develops organisational policies, standards, and guidelines for improvement which allow the organisation to quickly improve and implement business processes to meet business requirements
  • Manages day to day business relationship with internal stakeholders, partners and suppliers

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Experience of working in an Engineering / Manufacturing / IT Function.
  • Experience in managing and inputting to strategic business plans
  • Familiarity with IT trends and good practice
  • A good level of experience in supporting the delivery of medium sized projects in a couple if not all of the Project Management skill sets

Desirable:

  • Relevant IT degree or business degree, experience in consultancy or people management position
  • Relevant vocational qualification or equivalent experience e.g. HNC / Prince 2 Foundation / Computer Science Degree

The team:

The role will report into the FCAS retained Line of Business partner. With an initial focus on defining the demand and scope of the Digital Engineering, Digital Manufacture and Digital Business needs of the FCAS retained business; you will drive the capability delivery programme, ensuring the right capability is delivered at the right time, to the right people at the right cost in the right way.

The role will ensure the appropriate IT services solutions for the FCAS/GCAP entity and partners are established and/ or transferred from BAE.
