Job title: Facilities Electrical Engineering Manager  

Location: Warton – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary:  £63,900 + (depending on skills and experience)

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Ensure effective communication of infrastructure and site service planning activities across Air (UK) Estates.
  • Ensure that adequate technical capability and Governance is deployed across Electrical infrastructure activities.
  • Be accountable for ensuring that Air retains a fully qualified electrical engineer to act as the principle electrical authorised person in accordance with the Electricity at Work Act, responsible for all Air site electrical Infrastructure and systems and ensure compliance with all statutory and legal requirements. This role also includes responsibility of the maintenance and the application of the Warton Unit High Voltage Electricity Safety Rules.
  • Ensure the maintenance and operation of Warton and Samlesbury Site Electrical Infrastructure providing safe operation and security of supply.
  • Manage effective integration of infrastructure planning across Air (UK) Estates.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise covering key Infrastructure Elements including
  1. HV Electrical Network
  2. LV Electrical Network
  3. Fire Detection, Protection and Alarm Systems

 

Your skills and experiences:

  • Strong background in electrical engineering, with relevant education
  • Experience working as an Authorised Person (AP), Senior Authorised Electrical Person (SEAP) OR Authorised Engineer (AE)
  • Knowledge of electrical operations and governance related to fire safety, asbestos and legionella
