Job title: F35 Weapons Maintenance Instructor
Location: RAF Marham (On-site)
Salary: £45,000+ depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing academic instruction and support to students in the classroom and hangar environment
- Delivering practical instruction and support to students on a range of training devices to include Flexible Linear Charge System, Weapon Loading and CES recertification
- Delivering training in accordance with the UK version of the program provided course guide and as approved by UK Training Requirements Authority
- Being available for student assistance and support, including carrying out student remedial training, coaching and mentoring
- Recording student progress against the relevant flexible training plan and participate in the signing-off of training
- Committing to continuous professional development in accordance with the requirements of JSP 822 and be an active participant in the Instructor Assessment process
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- A proven Military background, with weapons trade experience on Fast Jet programmes
- Demonstrated experience within an aircraft maintenance environment at a supervisor level
- Knowledge of aircraft systems relative to Weapons trade to include knowledge of armament regulations and policy within a military environment
- An existing level of instructional experience and be qualified to a minimum equivalent of Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) Level 3 in instructional techniques. Specifically (DTTT/DTC course – Defence training the trainer/Defence Trainer Capability) or (Level 3 CET Certificate of education and training)
Desirable:
- Work experience on the F35 Lightning II programme ideally with a working level of knowledge of F35 electronic maintenance recording systems to include ALIS applications like CMMS/CRM/JTD/TMS

Would you like to be involved in the ongoing development and delivery of training solutions for the Lightning II programme platform and equipment? We currently have a vacancy for a F35 Maintenance Instructor – Weapons, at the Integrated Training Centre, RAF Marham.
As a F35 Maintenance Instructor – Weapons, you will be working within the team responsible for delivering theoretical and practical training as well as supporting the design of the training solutions. As part of the design aspects you will be involved in helping to shape solutions to ensure training is part of a fully integrated capability that supports operational requirements and integrates new teaching methodologies and technologies.
This role will provide you with an exciting opportunity to join the Lightning II program, a leading-edge capability, in the early years of service with the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy.
