Export Control Officer

To understand and apply compliance with all Company Export Control
policies and procedures at the Eurofighter Typhoon Main Operating Base (MoB)
and with all applicable Export Control laws and regulations.

Operationally
and Functionally responsible to the Qatar Export Control Manager.

The
role holder may be required to carry out additional or alternative tasks from
time to time, subject to holding the appropriate qualifications.

• Support implementation of the Export Control framework at Dukhan
  airbase.
  
• Act as a key point of contact for day to day advice and guidance on
  Export Control Regulatory and Procedure requirements
  
• Participate in assurance activities for all Main Operating Base
  Departments –both internal audit and external audit.
  
• Undertake Export Control Investigations, draft disclosure letters,
  identify corrective actions and lead root cause analysis and lessons learned
  reviews
  
• Identify Export Control risks and mitigation strategies and support risk
  reviews.
  
• Develop
  and deliver local export control training
  

• Professional, consistent and pro-active development and
  application of policies, processes and procedures
  
• Good contribution to business performance as a specialist
  adviser on a critical area of expertise
  
• Accurate investigations conducted, root cause(s) identified
  and clear, achievable corrective actions identified and agreed with the project
  
• Export Control team respected both internally and by
  customers and central to decisions where Export Control, import and export
  issues are an important element
  
• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
  
• Ability to influence key stakeholders throughout the
  organisation.

Functional Knowledge:

• Desirable to have knowledge
  of Export Control laws and regulations and expertise in their application to
  business activities.

Business Expertise:

• Desirable
  to have knowledge and understanding of the company’s products, services,
  software and technical information and the relationship between those and the
  relevant control lists
  

• Support the Export Control Compliance activities
  within the Main Operating Base facility.
• Support the Export Control Assurance activities in
  country, providing visibility of audit, corrective action and improvement
  planning / status in accordance with stakeholder requirements
• Liaison and influencing stakeholders across the
  business to ensure that strategic Export Control objectives are being delivered 
  
• Support to the preparing and delivering appropriate
  reports to illustrate Export Control performance to various stakeholders
