Job Title: Engineering Trials Manager (Mechanical/Electrical)

Salary: £48,000 commensurate on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Responsible to the Assurance Section Manager for the compilation of all Assurance Documentation
- Conducting and reporting on inspections and ensuring completion of all relevant certification in accordance with new design solutions for equipment and systems as listed in project documentation
- Assisting the Project Management Teams by liaising with the customer Acceptance Teams (SS, COM, MCTA, MCS,) for the timely delivery of ships for key milestones such as Flood Up, Ship Staff Move on Board (SSMOB), Harbour Acceptance Trials (HAT) and Ready for Sea Date (RFSD)
- Applying knowledge, skill and experience in order to resolve issues associated with the design and outfitting of Weapon & Marine Engineering equipment and systems
- Always paying due regard to the provision of SHE and employee welfare
Your skills and experiences:
- Understanding of Marine Engineering & Weapon Engineering Systems
- Has a working knowledge of other services that are integral to the aforementioned systems i.e. Floods & Sprays, Flight Services, Command & Control, HP Air, Chilled Water, HPSW, Electrical supplies, Vent, Fibre Optics and Constructive elements of design
- Can work individually and display strong communication skills with the ability to build positive and effective relationships with the customer and colleagues
- Able to read and decipher engineering technical drawings and documentation

The Platform Assurance Group team:
Platform Assurance Team is responsible for conducting and reporting on inspections on RN vessels for all Newly installed and legacy equipment during upkeep periods as part of the vessel regeneration process. These activities include conducting engineering inspections, compiling detailed reports and ensuring installations have been installed in accordance with technical specification. The role will give you the opportunity to be at the forefront of Platform availability and an integral part of a highly skilled and technical team.
