Job Title: Engineering Manager

Salary: Up to £70,000 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- To lead the management and integration of the engineering elements of MCM (Mine Counter Measures) contracts, private venture (PV) development programmes and business winning campaigns
- Working alongside the MCM Lead to define technology and product roadmap and to drive forward the engineering aspects of that roadmap and technology investment plan
- To be the engineering point of contact for all existing MCM products and all MCM future product development.
- To provide leadership to the contract specific PEMs and wider Engineering team to successfully deliver MCM contracts to quality, cost and performance.
- Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders and install a common approach to reporting to those stakeholders, including metrics demonstrating maturity throughout the lifecycle.
Your skills and experiences:
- A detailed and comprehensive understanding of a single engineering discipline.
- Has a good depth of understanding within own discipline and is able to discuss and understand context and implications of technical issues across a limited number of other engineering disciplines
- An in-depth understanding of Engineering Planning and Engineering Maturity
- A detailed and comprehensive knowledge of the Engineering Lifecycle
- Defence or highly regulated industry experience is desirable

The BAE Systems Mine Counter Measures (MCM) team:
BAE Systems Mine Counter Measures Team provides MCM products to a diverse range of customers worldwide. This role will provide engineering management support as part of a team delivering new capability and sustained production orders into a number of international Navies. You will have the opportunity to develop and enhance your skills and knowledge, with the potential to lead into more senior positions within a global business.
