Job Description
Job Title: Engineering Manager
Location: Cowes, Portsmouth, and Great Baddow. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Up to £65,000 depending on experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Ability to influence Engineering decisions across the full lifecycle and exposure to a broad product and customer portfolio
- Management and development of an Engineering team, supporting individual career progression across a wide career demographic
- Leadership across a multidisciplinary engineering team, tackling complex technical problems across an exciting and diverse group of projects/products
- Responsible for governance, planning and delivery of the Engineering programme
- Ensure capability and skills development, performance optimisation & maximisation and efficient use of engineering and functional resources
- Support to new bids and opportunities by coordinating Engineering estimates, technical proposals and bid reviews
Your skills and experiences:
- People leadership and project/programme management experience
- Technical background with an aptitude for rationalising and solving complex problems
- Strong internal and external stakeholder management and organisational skills
- Degree level or equivalent (STEM preferred)
- Defence experience desirable
