Job title: ECRS Mk2 Radar Equipment Engineer

Salary: £47,683-£52,426 (dependent on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
· Support the management of the Radar supplier, including participation in the Supplier’s regular engineering reviews
· Be an active agent for the development and maintenance of the ECRS (Eurofighter Common Radar System) Mk2 Step 2 Test Solution Definition liaising closely with the Supplier, Air Service and external stakeholders to ensure all technical scope for the ‘External Use Cases’ is captured
· Support the formalisation of any necessary Eurofighter documentation (Spec & ICD Updates) through to approval and issue
· Support the detailed Level 1 design activities for ECRS Mk2 Step 2 ensuring all activities are completed on schedule and without prejudice to safety or quality
· Provide Systems and Equipment engineering review of supplier submitted Documents in support of Step 2 Declaration of Design and Performance and other locally produced material (utilising Eurofighter toolsets including DOORS)
· Provide support to the delivery of the Step 2 Equipment into sub-system test, Avionics systems integration and flight test – including support to creation and review of test plans & reports and subsequent analysis of System Problem Reports (including coordination with the Supplier)
· Provide EDR (engineering design responsibility) support to the Integrated Test Facility (ITF) activities for the Step 2 Equipment
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
· Degree or HNC in a related Engineering/Science-based discipline or equivalent relevant experience
· Experience of using toolsets such as DOORS or PLM Team Center
· Understand the process of specifying and delivering equipment against the specification.
· Ability to communicate effectively with broad stakeholder group and work effectively within a team
Desirable:
· Knowledge of Supplier Management
· Knowledge of Airborne Radar Systems Integration
· Knowledge of Quality Management

The Eurofighter Radar EDR Team:
As an Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for performing Systems and Equipment Engineering tasks in support of the ECRS Mk2 Step 2 Team Leader and Lead Engineer who are responsible for system design, qualification and delivery of Radar equipment into platform integration. The role is centred on the ECRS Mk2 Step 2 Radar elements operating on a newly developed Avionics product but may extend to other programmes
The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills, a logical mindset and a thorough understanding of engineering to be able to articulate this in a verbal and written format with the ability to develop positive and proactive internal and external relationships
