Job Description

Job Title: Early Careers & Skills Development Coach – Lifting Operations Instructor / Assessor

Location: Barrow in Furness. We offer a range of flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role.

Salary: Circa £42,581 Depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

• Deliver outstanding teaching, learning and practical assessment that comply with recognised industry codes of practice
• Engage and inspire learners to fulfil their individual potential and develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours to successfully operate in a safe and consistent manner
• Design and develop learning content i.a.w. defined codes of practice as part of a blended learning pedagogy focused on delivering Operational excellence
• Design & develop training packages to meet the demands of new innovations in technology or equipment to meet business needs
• Ensure effective recording / reporting of performance data in support of delivery and evidence audit
• Liaison with the industry governing bodies (NPORS, LEEA etc.) to maximise the link between Training Centre and workplace learning opportunities

Your skills and experiences: 

Essential:

• Experience of heavy lifting, tandem lifts, various ranges of overhead and mobile cranes and relevant occupational competence to a minimum of SVQ/NVQ 3 or equivalent
• Qualified / registered with an industry accredited body (NPORS/ NVQ or equivalent) 
• Strong coaching skills

Desirable:

• Training & Development qualifications L3 
• Assessor Award qualification
