Salary: Up to £62,000 depending on skills and experience

Job Description:
As a Deputy Project Manager, you will lead and manage a small to medium sized project, of low to medium complexity, to ensure successful outcomes in line with agreed Customer requirements or you will support a Project Manager or Head of Project or Project Director with aspects of managing a larger project. You will help with the P3 integration to ensure the project management processes and activities employed are defined, unified & coordinated to achieve the required outcomes, including the analysis to facilitate the PM leadership in making direction changes. This role may be that of a Control Account Manager with specific responsibilities for the performance of a particular Control Account as part of a project or responsibilities for the performance of particular Project within a Portfolio.
Core Duties:
- Ensure essential procedures are followed based on own knowledge of Project Management
- Adapt own project plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
- Prepare for all LCM reviews and ensure they are carried out in accordance with the approved tailoring statement for all Phases of the Delivery and Closure Stages
- Be accountable for the budget, performance and results of individual work packages
- Deputise for the Project Manager as and when required
Essential Skills:
- You will have a professional PM Qualification (APM or PMI as examples) or equivalent experience gained through application of Project Management
- You will be able to operate in a complex and challenging environment
- You will be an experienced professional with extensive knowledge of Project Management (tools, techniques, practices)
- You will be able to resolve project-related problems that do not have routine solutions, but the norm is to follow established procedures
- You will have extensive understanding of the Business environment for own project and team
The team:
You will be joining a multidisciplinary team made up of BAE and Royal Navy personnel across Supply Chain, Engineering, Production, Planning & Project Management. The nature of work means that there is regular contact with Ships Staff, suppliers and on-site partners to deliver our commitments.
