Role

Responsible for the
day-to-day coordination and supervision of the Demand Management team in order
to ensure all inventory/asset demands including generation, receipt,
validation, prioritisation, solution, process and progression achieve
contractual requirements within timescales and budgets set. Ensure allocated
resource has appropriate skills, is motivated and effective and at all times
comply with SHE, Quality and other internal and external regulations.

Core Activities

  • Coordinate and supervise the Demand Management team in order to ensure all inventory/asset demands including generation, receipt, validation, prioritisation, solution, process and progression achieve contractual requirements within timescales and budgets set.

  • Ensure allocated resource has appropriate skills, is motivated and effective and at all times comply with SHE, Quality and other internal and external regulations.

  • Set delivery targets, monitor progress, and generate effective resolutions to escalated issues.

  • Ensure documentation and airworthiness records are maintained and activities are performed by suitably qualified personnel.

  • Manage adherence to MAI CAME, AM&S, and company procedures; identify and implement changes while ensuring compliance.

  • Promote Human Factors, Error Management, Risk Management, and Safety Assurance practices.

  • Support audits, manage findings, and implement improvements under the AM&S Governance and Assurance framework.

  • Apply the Continuing Airworthiness Regulatory framework and ensure compliance with ITAR, EaPW, ISO, and other requirements.

  • Support contract reviews and incorporate changes into Demand Management processes.

  • Manage solutions with customers, Part 145 organisations, procurement, suppliers, and other stakeholders to deliver standards of Continuing Airworthiness and contract delivery.

  • Lead and manage Demand Management capabilities (resource, process, IT infrastructure) aligned to business strategies.

  • Motivate, train, and develop team members to deliver quality outputs.

  • Ensure timely demands on the supply chain and manage calibrated items to maintain tooling capability.

  • Develop robust validation and priority management processes to meet critical demands and improve item availability.

  • Deliver effective reporting capability, capture trends, and escalate issues with effective solutions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure all Demand Management activities achieve contractual requirements within timescales and budgets.

  • Responsible for setting delivery targets, monitoring progress, and assessing escalated issues for impact on Continuing Airworthiness and operational/process performance.

  • Accountable for ensuring all Demand Management activities are documented, airworthiness records maintained, and performed by suitably qualified, experienced, and authorised personnel.

  • Ensure integration of Demand Management activity across the business and engagement of stakeholders at all stages.

  • Manage team compliance with MAI CAME, AM&S, and company procedures/standards, and implement changes while ensuring compliance.

  • Promote and embed Human Factors, Error Management, Risk Management, and Safety Assurance practices within the team.

  • Ensure Demand Management team activities are compliant with AM&S Governance and Assurance framework, audits are supported, findings managed, and improvements monitored.

  • Demonstrate understanding and application of the Continuing Airworthiness Regulatory framework and ensure compliance with ITAR, EaPW, ISO, and other requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable contractual requirements, support contract reviews, and incorporate changes into Demand Management processes.

  • Manage optimum Demand Management solutions with customers, Part 145 organisations, Order Book Managers, Procurement, Suppliers, and other stakeholders to deliver Continuing Airworthiness and contract standards.

  • Lead and manage the development and delivery of Demand Management capabilities aligned to business strategies.

  • Ensure team members are motivated, trained, and developed to deliver quality outputs that meet business, customer, and contract requirements.

  • Ensure timely demands on the supply chain, calibrated items managed, and tooling capability maintained.

  • Develop and deploy robust validation and priority management processes to meet customer/contract critical demand and improve item availability.

  • Develop and deliver effective reporting/metrication capability to articulate Demand Management performance, capture trends, inform risk/opportunity management, and escalate issues with effective solutions.


Requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum HND or Level 5 Award, or suitable equivalent.

Experience

  • Recent extensive experience within a Supply Chain Demand Management role in support of Maintenance / after sales market environments.

  • Recent proven experience as a Team Leader in a supply chain role.

Functional Competence & Capability

  • Regulatory Framework understanding and the ability to drive this framework structure within the Demand Management processes and activities.

  • Able to build strong relationships with Customers, Part 145 Organisation(s), Order Book Management, OEMs, Suppliers and other key stakeholders.

  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of the platform contract(s).

  • Demonstrate a thorough operational and commercial understanding of the fleet’s performance and business key performance metrics.

  • Able to encourage/champion a Continuous Improvement culture, and develop/enhance the underpinning management reporting systems.

  • Able to manage the implementation of an efficient and cost effective Demand Management strategy.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of ASBM discipline dependencies and interdependencies with Demand Management.

  • Provide direction and advice to the Demand Management team(s) on demand related issues, addressing individual aircraft/components and fleet-wide issues.

  • Able to manage the competency within/across Demand Management team(s).
