What you will be doing:
The Project Management Integrated Degree Apprenticeship, specialising in Estimating and Commercial is a five year scheme. Through five annual work placements you will learn and demonstrate skills required to successfully manage our complex projects and programmes including; communication, schedule management, budgeting and cost control, stakeholder management, risk management and project governance. The Estimating and Commerical services placements would include business winning activities, such as request for bid approval and submission, contract agreement and award activities, contract execution and closure phases, and supporting opportunity identification and exploitation.

A member of a sector, business or project team, delivering commercial and estimating services to meet operational needs. Over 50% of those undertaking the Honours degree in Project Management, graduate with a first class Honours degree.

Specific activities could include:
Working in Project Management means you will be the eyes and ears of a given project, ensuring it is delivered on time, to cost and of the required quality. You will gain a broad view across the project and will be able to demonstrate the elements needed to make it a success. This depends on understanding the big picture, recognising the key issues, making effective decisions and driving actions to their conclusion. The Integrated Degree apprenticeship in Project Management will develop and test all of these skills. 

Over the duration of the scheme you will work on varied projects and be involved in all stages of the project lifecycle as well as having the opportunity to get involved in various stretch assignments and enrichment activities which further support your development. This scheme would particularly suit an individual who is driven, organized and enjoys problem solving and working with others.

During your specialisation sector, you will provide commercial and administration support to projects and contracts, develop knowledge and understanding of commercial role, commercial policy & governance and commercial competencies. You will prepare or support commercial colleagues in preparing material for LCM reviews, bid approvals and other commercial activities.

As well as spending time in the office, you’ll also get out and about visiting key stakeholders in other buildings and locations. 

What Qualification Will You Get?
By the end of the apprenticeship you will obtain: Project Manager Integrated Degree Apprenticeship at Level 6, which includes: BSc Hons Degree in Project Management APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) at SCQF Level 7.

5 GCSEs (4-9) or grade C or above, or equivalent, including Maths and English Language. 96 UCAS Tariff Points (240 points old tariff) (or equivalent) excluding UCAS points gained at AS Level. The UCAS points must include a numerate subject.
