Job Title: Cyber Incident Management Analyst

Location: Preston. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: Circa £45,000 depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Applying Cyber Incident Management knowledge, skills and training within the Cyber Operations function to meet strategic and tactical goals of the Cyber Incident Response & Investigations Team (CIRIT)
  • Supporting the Cyber Incident Management Lead in the delivery of the Incident Management capability
  • Works under general direction of the Lead, exercising substantial personal responsibility and autonomy. Uses substantial discretion in identifying and responding to complex issues and assignments. Escalates when issues when required
  • Supports the CIRIT function to ensure the adherence to Legal, Regulatory, Ethical and professional standards as well as policies and directives governing security investigations and data privacy
  • Collaborates with the wider business and key stakeholders to provide a professional and supportive Incident Management function

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in incident coordination and management
  • Experience of working with a range of system management and security toolsets in a technical capacity, such as SIEM, DLP, EDR, AV, IDS/IPS
  • Analytical background with the ability to analyse and interpret large and complex data sets and articulate observations, conclusions and recommendations
  • Experience of communicating with a variety or individuals including senior leadership and the ability to influence decisions

Desirable:

  • Practical experience supporting Cyber Operations functions such as Detection, Intelligence, and Vulnerability Management

The Cyber Incident Response and Investigation Team (CIRIT):

The CIRIT responds to and investigates events and incidents, providing cross-disciplined incident management amongst BAE Systems stakeholders. The team’s responsibilities also include digital forensics expertise, sensitive investigative support and the insider risk monitoring work streams. With the Incident Management function of CIRIT, you’ll manage the response to incidents and investigations, in a consistent and holistic manner, ensuring all stages are handled appropriately.
