What you’ll be doing:
- Support to the Dreadnought Head of Engineering (Integration) the development of robust and coherent engineering strategies throughout the Systems Integration lifecycle.
- Acting as the delegated Technical Authority for the Whole Boat Systems Integration team on behalf of the DN Office-of-the-Chief Engineer.
- Support to the Design Policies work stream and assessment of the impact on the overall system performance due to non-compliance with any of these design policies
- Support to the Head of Engineering (Integration) key technical issues and decisions
- Support into DN programme LCM Reviews, Design Reviews, ISTG events, and key Working Groups
- Provide domain expertise in SE and MBSE in support of the DN programme engineering delivery.
- Design Review Assessor, providing independent review of product design and assurance of compliance with Life Cycle Management, Engineering and product safety policies
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Systems Engineering, MBSE, Systems Architecture, Integration, Verification, and Validation (IVV)
- A background in a relevant High assurance / high hazard engineering industry
- Experience of the use of Model Based Systems Engineering in the design, implementation, Verification, and Validation of complex, software-intensive systems.
- Chartered Engineer Status or working towards with an appropriate institution such as INCOSE, IET or IMechE
- Degree in relevant STEM subject
Desirable:
- Sub systems domain knowledge
- Product safety experience

The Dreadnaught Integration Team:
The team ensures the highly integrated software, intensive systems on Dreadnaught are brought together to deliver assured platform functionality.
This role provides system engineering, IVV, and MBSE expert to ensure our approaches are technically robust, based on sound up to date LFE best practise and modern relevant standards in support of overarching requirements or technical assurance. Additionally, the role acts as the delegated to the technical authority, on matters of systems integration on behalf of the office of the Chief engineer
