We are recruiting for additional AWS-focused DevOps Engineers to join an existing team working on high-profile projects for a Central Government client.
The Digital Services at the Border programme is developing a new digital platform of services to help Border Force secure the UK border, and is one of the highest priority programmes within Government. To help deliver this challenging programme, additional skilled DevOps Engineers are required to implement data layer principles and provide technical guidance across the project.
The role is both remote working and onsite due to the nature of the secure platform. It would be desirable for the resource to be either London based or able to work there for 1-2 days per week.
The successful applicant will be expected to:
• Contribute to refinement of non-functional requirements
• Drive the prioritisation and delivery of backlogs
• Implement security best-practices and recommendations; often through the means of developed services and automation
• Facilitate an effective relationship between third party suppliers and Home Office platform teams
• Participate in workstream and project Scrum ceremonies
• Raise issues and risks appropriately
• Ability to operate in small cross-functional engineering teams to build supportable, sustainable, and reliable services
• Create quality documentation and Jira ticket commentary
