Salary: Up to £58,500 depending on skill and experience
What you’ll be doing:

Supporting the Platform TA in requirements, acceptance, architecture and safety of Auxiliary scopes of work
-
Verifying of Auxiliary Systems engineering outputs and deliverables
-
Participating in the technical management of Auxiliary Systems Suppliers, including design reviews

Participating in resolution of key Auxiliary Systems Technical issues
-
Conducting Technical risk assessment and mitigation

Supporting the Zonal Review programme leading to final compartment approval
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
-
Degree/equivalent qualification or working experience within Mechanical Engineering
-
Experience of supporting specialist multi-disciplinary teams interfacing with a wide range of providers and customers
-
Knowledge and experience of the design of Marine/Mechanical Auxiliary Systems
-
Knowledge of the integration of mechanical systems and experience of Auxiliary Systems design and operation
Desirable:
-
Strong background in Naval Engineering practices/Defence industry
-
Knowledge of the integration of mechanical systems and experience of HVAC and Chilled Water Systems
Applicants should ideally be Degree qualified or have equivalent experience, likely to be in a technology, engineering, science or IT related discipline.
Applicants should be a Chartered Engineer or hold another equivalent professional registration with a relevant institution.

The Auxiliaries Technical Authority team:
You will be part of a small team specifically responsible for the technical governance of the platform auxiliaries design. Playing a vital role in ensuring the technical correctness, safety and goodness of the design. You will have excellent communication skills, able to engage with and manage a broad range of external and internal stakeholders. You will have the ability to lead, will be collaborative in your approach in order to build positive, effective and trusted relationships. You will also be confident in challenging and influencing when required.
