Job title: Apprentice and skills Development Coach – Electrical
Location: Portsmouth – Naval Dockyard
Salary: £41,997- £45,079 (depending on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
- Deliver outstanding teaching, level 3 learning and assessment practices that engage and inspire learners to fulfil their individual potential and develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours to successfully progress within the business
- Take professional pride in their role and embrace continuous professional development opportunities in support of delivering innovative and impactful teaching, learning and assessment
- Assess and monitor learner progress & performance in line with standards and legislative requirements to ensure occupational competence
- Coach employees and learners to reach their full potential by providing key support, mentoring, challenge and motivation throughout all aspects of their learning journey
- Develop learners that are innovative thinkers and creative problem solvers, through designing and delivering learning content as part of a blended learning pedagogy focused on delivering vocational excellence
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Coaching and mentoring skills
- Effective interpersonal skills specifically when dealing with welfare, support and safeguarding issues
- Electrical engineering qualification
Desirable:
- A1/Assessor qualification
- Teaching Qualification Level 3
- Military and/or Maritime background
- Good IT Skills
