Role Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Java Developer/PLM Systems Analyst to join the Maritime DDC Function reporting to the PLM Delivery/Operations Lead.
As the PLM Systems Analyst, you will be working on a variety of PDM (Product Data Management) and CAD (Computer Aided Design) toolset including providing service delivery and assisting with managing technical lifecycle of systems planned, or implemented, within the business environment. This role requires a strong understanding of PLM concepts, technical expertise, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the PLM system meets the business needs effectively.

Core Duties:
- Collaborate with stakeholders from various departments to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business processes.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for the PLM system.
- Configure and customize the PLM system to meet business requirements and improve system performance.
- Support the implementation, integration, and deployment of the PLM system across the organization.
- Maintain and update the PLM system, including user access controls, workflows, and data models.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for PLM system issues, working closely with IT and vendor support teams.
- Conduct user training sessions and create documentation to ensure effective utilization of the PLM system.
ABOUT YOU:
- Proficiency in Java, with knowledge of OOP concepts, data structures, algorithms and multithreading.
- Proficiency in JSP, JavaScript, Servlets and Spring framework and exposure to web application development.
- Prior experience in customising COTS applications utilising vendor supplied API’s would be an added advantage.
- Experience working with DevOps tools (Git, BitBucket, CI/CD)
- Ability to actively engage and contribute in a project environment to provide technical SME advice, contribute towards project outcomes, solution designing, lead and support project delivery and ‘Transition to Support’ activities.
- Possess Agile methodology skill sets (Scrum and Kanban) and ability to use BAE toolsets (JIRA/Confluence) to plan and deliver technical changes via Sprint activities.
- Possess strong analytical, problem-solving and proven time-management skills with focus on good customer service and stakeholder management.
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain a Baseline clearance
