Job Title: Advanced Apprentice Pipefitter Location: Glasgow Salary: Starting from £18,018 with annual progression through the scheme duration. What you will be doing: The role of Pipefitter involves working from Isometric drawings, to fabricate, install and test various pipe systems on board our products. You will use a wide variety of tools and equipment. You will use equipment safely and efficiently to deliver pipe systems to the highest degree of quality. Specific activities could include: As a Pipefitter apprentice, you will manufacture and install pipe spool systems ranging from drainage systems to main engine fuel lines, whether it’s pre-fabricating pipe spools in a fabrication work shop or installing pipe lines to suit the situation on board the ship. You’ll be trained to read and comprehend different types of engineering documentation including Isometric drawings and technical information provided by the design team. You will work alongside other trade disciplines such as Engineers and Welders to produce finished components for ship delivery, join piping efficiently and safely, often in difficult conditions and will learn to use equipment safely and gain additional experience in welding processes by using T.I.G welding.
