Job Title: Advanced Apprentice Naval Ships Design Engineer Glasgow

Salary:
Starting from £21,353 with annual progression through the scheme duration.
What you will be doing:
This apprenticeship will enable you to gain experience in Design Engineering, on British and export contracts.
You will be trained to deliver the following:
- Use 3D modelling/CAD Software to design ships structure, internal layouts, pipework, electrical & ventilation systems.
- Produce and develop designs in line with specifications and all quality and technical standards.
- Carry out detail design appraisals in assigned areas to ensure all standards are maintained.
- Carry out investigations into operational problems or developments.
- Develop and prepare solutions, individually or as a member of a team.
Specific activities could include:
Design Engineering Apprentices undertake a range of Detail Design activities in line with company processes, quality requirements and design standards. Provide guidance and support across the business to multiple functions. Support the design and build objectives through collaboration with key stakeholders collectively achieving key milestones for the business. Promote a positive safety and quality culture whilst carrying out role requirements.
