Job Title: Advanced Apprentice Naval Ships Quality, Glasgow Salary: What you will be doing: This apprenticeship will provide you with the opportunity to explore each area within a function where some Quality fundamentals are consistent, but adapted to meet the particular circumstances. You will learn about the Business Management System during the Quality Assurance placement, which serves as a central repository for all processes, procedures, manufacturing instructions, etc. Providing tools and techniques to support assurance and governance requirements and improvement for the Business Functions, the Type 26 Program, the Canadian Surface Combat Programme and the Hunter Class Frigate Program as well as their associated suppliers. Quality Control is the process of verifying compliance with specifications/contractual requirements in order to aid the team in achieving their readiness for sea trials and the completion of the ship. It is the responsibility of Supplier Assurance to ensure that the customer’s requirements are met within the supply chain and to collaborate with each supplier on any improvements that can be made before the products are delivered. 4 National 5s Grade C or above (or equivalent) – Maths, English, Science or Technical plus three Highers at grade C or above in English, Maths, Science or Technical or equivalent (excluding Application of Maths). |
