What you’ll be doing:

The Advanced Business Administrator Apprenticeship is a two-year scheme and will offer you the opportunity to gain real experience working in the business areas which support all of our products. Through a combination of ‘off-the-job’ training, reviews and work placements, you will gain exposure to real challenges that support our business.

You will have the opportunity to learn how to:

•    Deliver your responsibilities efficiently and with integrity.

•    To demonstrate strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
•    Time management.
•    Problem-solving.
•    Develop your organisational skills.
•    Project management skills.

Typically you will be placed within one business area for the duration of your apprenticeship. Business areas include:

•    Business Development.
•    Commercial.
•    Manufacturing Operations.
•    Procurement.
•    Project Management.

Please note you must not book any annual leave within the first 3 months of your apprenticeship. Following this, leave will be considered depending on the individual training delivery schedule and must be approved by your line manager.

What qualification will you get?

The Advanced Business Administrator Apprenticeship will provide the opportunity to gain the following: Level 3 Business Administrator standard.

You will be required to attend the ASK once a month to complete your college studies. Specific dates will be given to you in your first week in the business.

Export Control / Security:

Please be aware that many roles at BAE Systems are subject to both security and export control restrictions. These restrictions mean that factors such as your nationality, any nationalities you may have previously held, and your place of birth can restrict the roles you are eligible to perform within the organisation. All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
