Salary: Up to £72,000 (dependent on skills and experience)

Role Description:
To lead, mentor and manage an Integrated Work Team to deliver all aspects of Subcontractor outputs to ensure project milestones are achieved on time, safely, to the right quality and on budget. The Integrated Work Team will consist of a number of Team Leaders teams within a trade discipline.
Core duties:
- Develop and demonstrate high levels of SHE behaviours to teams through strategic SHE improvements/setting and positive promotion of safety awareness, risk management/compliance
- Accountable for subcontractor outputs ensuring safety, quality, work acceptance and cost performance is delivered
- Responsible for submitting resource demand information which will then be signed off and sent to the function so that robust supply solutions are in place to deliver all commitments across a trade grouping and multiple platforms
- Responsible and accountable for ensuring Team Leaders are delivering work in accordance with Level 3 schedules and that bookings/housekeeping of Service Orders are maintained to enable project deliverables
- Be a positive role model and create an environment so all teams have a voice and are aligned to the company’s values, policies and processes
- Use technical expertise and excellent problem-solving skills to ensure TLs drive subcontract performance and TLs drive solutions to delivery challenges to ensure schedule compliance. Liaise closely with the PEM/WTA and systems engineers to proactively address delivery problems
- Lead, support and enforce the use of company processes and tools. Work with OPLs who will monitor & control overtime and pastoral care that will include attendance, performance reviews, sickness, leave and Working Time Directive (WTD)
- Day to day Control Account Management (CAM) of assigned scope of work. This includes establishing and maintaining the Work Breakdown Structure; scheduling and assigning work; tracking progress and actual costs; maintaining an up-to-date report on progress against the Baseline Schedule
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering, production, or maintenance teams within a safety-critical environment
- Experience managing subcontractors and driving performance against quality, cost, and delivery objectives
- Demonstrable knowledge of project controls, including Control Account Management (CAM), cost tracking, scheduling, and progress reporting
- Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead continuous improvement and operational change initiatives
- Strong resource planning and delivery management skills, with the ability to deliver work safely, on schedule, and within budget
The Ship Repair team:
The Ship Repair team supports the Type 45 Class fleet through a major upkeep programme. Currently around 20 strong and expected to grow to more than 100 people, the team offers excellent opportunities for career development, long-term stability, and involvement in a complex, high-profile programme delivering critical capability
