Salary: £51,772+ depending on skills and experience

Job Description:
As a Senior Systems Engineer – Mission Data, you will lead the specification, design, development, qualification and delivery of Mission Data Sets for delivery to various export Customers. The role includes interaction with internal and external Customers and Suppliers in order to develop Mission Data solutions to enable the Customer’s operational data advantage.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting strategic activities across the support and services landscape, including demand aggregation, strategic sourcing, catalogue development and bid execution to align with business goals
- Collaborating cross-functionally as an integral member of the team, interfacing effectively across the Air business and with other key functions, such as Support & Services, Project Management, Engineering, Commercial, and Finance
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that product or service provisions comply with governance requirements, meet business and customer expectations, and deliver optimum value for money
- Contributing to Senior Business Reviews both internally and externally, providing strategic insights and actionable recommendations
- Identifying risks and enhance supply chain resilience by implementing robust strategies and monitoring mechanisms.
- Providing procurement support to Typhoon export campaigns as required
Your skills and experiences:
- Proven experience in procurement, demonstrating proficiency in managing sourcing activities, supplier relationships, and purchasing processes with measurable success.
- Analytical skills, with the ability to compile data, conduct in-depth analyses, and present actionable recommendations through reports and presentations.
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities, enabling the development of trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrable experience delivering tangible improvements within procurement or related environments.

The Support Solutions Team:
As a Senior Procurement Engineer within the Procurement Service Delivery Unit (SDU) team, and working closely with the Support & Services organisation; you will play a key role in driving strategic initiatives to deliver optimal value. You will be supporting strategic initiatives across the in-service support landscape and supporting Typhoon export campaigns, with a clear focus on affordability, continuous improvement and enhancing supply chain resilience.
