JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

Responsible to the Head of Fleet Operations and Typhoon Fleet Operations Manager for the smooth delivery of the Life Support function in Taif.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Defining, delivering and managing the Forward Operations Life Support capabilities in support of the RSAF Typhoon operations across KSA.
· Ensuring adherence to correct engineering practises across KSA.
· Work with Typhoon Operations Manager/Forward Maintenance Team Leader to manage inputs to the TOPR/SAG/SCAR for Forward Operations Engineering and contractual statistics related matters.
· Produce regular manpower and any ad-hoc organisational reports as required highlighting recruitment, RSAF Consolidation, Saudisation and any other related manpower issues.
· Assisting T&E and Life Support to ensure the programmed delivery of all EIS upgrades are embodied and accepted as agreed with the RSAF customer, liaising with key business partners where necessary.
· Support the UK capability delivery teams, in terms of local support, RSAF engagement and adherence to Salam entry into service (EIS).
· Have a detailed understanding of authorisations and understand how Auths are controlled. A good understanding of how to gain additional Auths and provide examples of how an auth’s affects the individual’s organisation. In a practical manner, should be able to express how Auths and qualifications are related to maintenance tasks.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
· Ex-military with experience serving on a high tempo operational military flying unit, working with Flight Operations.
· Must have attained extensive experience at supervisory / management levels, working in a military aircraft maintenance environment.
· Thorough working knowledge of aircraft Life Support equipment. (Typhoon Preferable)
· Experience of working in the aviation industry in a Gulf Coast Country preferred.
· A conscientious approach to work and meticulous attention to detail is also required.
· A track record of meeting strict deadlines without compromising standards and quality.
· Previous experience of conducting On-The-Job training.
· Detailed knowledge of the principal elements of task prioritisation.
· Extensive knowledge of tool procedures in place within the organisation. Be able to use the tool procedures and ensure all Life Support teams comply with these procedures.
