Role Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Compartment Completion Coordinator to join our Hunter Class Frigate Program based at SA-Osborne Naval Shipyard, reporting to the Compartment Completion Manager.

The Compartment Completion Coordinator will play a crucial role in the progressive completion and delivery of the Hunter Class Frigate Program to our customer.

Core Duties:

• Conducting comprehensive compartment and tank inspections, documenting identified issues, and analysing any emerging trends.
• Support Compartment Completion Manager to maintain the Compartment Completion schedule.
• Support Labelling of Ship systems, equipment & compartments.
• Organising inspection activities with multiple key stakeholders, developing strong relationships with customer representatives.
• Supporting Area Managers for the management and de-confliction of activities in accordance with the Ship Plan of Day (SPOD).
• Support management of safety, quality, trade resourcing, risk, and opportunities for the Compartment Completion scope.
• Ensure effective communication is maintained with the Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Advisors.
• Maintain comprehensive records of compartment completion progress, ensuring all inspections and documentation are in place and up to date.

Essential Skills:

• Degree or trade qualification with relevant technical or industrial experience. Shipbuilding experience is advantageous but not a mandatory requirement.
• Confined Space certificate or the ability to obtain
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specification requirements.
• Background in inspections and/or Quality Control activities. A recognised inspection qualification would be highly regarded.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal to communicate effectively across multiple levels of the business
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and ability to learn relevant software packages.
• Ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer and business requirements, with appropriate stakeholder management.
• NV1 security clearance or eligibility to obtain.
• Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
