Salary: Up to £77,100 (DOE)

Job Description:
Responsible for overseeing software configuration management processes, ensuring version control, consistency, and reliability across systems. Manages and supports the tools used by the software development team, maintaining optimal performance and usability. Facilitates and coordinates Software Control Board (SCB) activities to review, approve, and implement changes in line with governance standards. Administers and maintains SAP and SharePoint platforms, ensuring effective document management, data integrity, and user access control.
Core duties:
- Software Configuration Manager for several projects across multiple sites and networks
- SAP Administrator, processing documents for software releases (CSRN) and Engineering Request (ERs) on behalf the Configuration department across multiple projects. Providing user support
- Organise and perform secretariat duties regarding project Local Technical Committees with the Customer
- Produce SAP and CM related regular progress reports required by the projects
- Manage SCCB meetings and other configuration reviews, audits and status accounting
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience in the collation, development, and production of technical documentation, including process creation and standardisation
- Demonstrated expertise in configuration lifecycle management, engineering change control, and continuous process improvement
- Advanced user proficiency in SAP, Teamcenter, and/or SharePoint is highly desirable
- Degree in a numerate discipline (e.g. Engineering, Mathematics, or similar) or equivalent practical experience
- Solid engineering background, with particular value placed on experience in design documentation control and governance

Our workplace in Cowes is an easily accessible commute from Southampton with a regular foot passenger ferry and BAE shuttle service from the ferry terminal to site.
