Job Title: Communications Advisor
Job Location: Preston or Any Shared Services UK Site- Hybrid -On site 2 days per week. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Circa £45,000 depending on skills and experience

Role Description:
Reporting to the Head of Communications, this is an exciting opportunity to work closely with senior leadership to support the delivery of a range of employee engagement activities and events.
As a trusted advisor, you will be building and delivering effective and robust communications plans, helping to drive the strategic aims of this central business unit, supports the wider BAE Systems enterprise.
Core Duties:
- Plan, develop and deliver strategic and tactical internal communications activities aligned to business goals
- Create engaging multi-channel content which supports key strategic communications priorities
- Build and manage effective stakeholder relationships within the role and across the wider business
- Provide communications guidance and support to senior stakeholders to help engage and inspire their teams
- Promote and protect the reputation of the business unit, delivery streams and/or Group through all outputs
Essential Skills:
- Significant experience working in internal communications roles within large, complex organisations
- Proven ability to develop and deliver integrated communications plans for a range of audiences
- High quality content creation skills across a range of internal communications channels, particularly video
- Confident in providing communications guidance and support to senior leaders and employees
- Competent in managing multiple projects concurrently and adapting swiftly to changing priorities
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels
The Communications team:
You’ll be part of a small, dynamic team delivering predominately internal communications and events. It’s a fast-moving environment with plenty of variety, supporting our Shared Services business unit, which sits at the centre of the BAE Systems driving business change and transformation.
