Role Description:
The F-35 Depot Production Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating the effective, safe, and on-time delivery of Modifications, Overhauls and Upgrades (MOU) output in accordance with the approved F-35 system of maintenance.
Core Duties:
- Oversee Production delivery — Manage work scope execution to meet cost, schedule, and performance requirements.
- Supervise MOU activities — Plan, control, and oversee all work in line with approved scope and standards.
- Ensure compliant maintenance execution — Confirm all maintenance is performed and certified by authorised personnel, using approved data, tools, equipment, and procedures.
- Manage resources and readiness — Allocate personnel and assets, ensuring facilities, tooling, and equipment are available, serviceable, calibrated, and fit for purpose.
- Uphold safety and reporting — Sustain a safe and compliant culture, manage occurrence reporting, and escalate any safety or compliance concerns promptly.
- Maintain workforce capability — Ensure personnel are trained, competent, current, and supported to achieve required maintenance outcomes.
Essential Skills:
- Aviation production experience — Prior experience in an aviation maintenance or production environment is highly valued, and exposure to the F‑35 program is considered a strong advantage.
- Production leadership — Proven ability to manage work scope delivery against cost, schedule, and performance targets.
- Work scope supervision — Experience in planning, controlling, and supervising maintenance activities to authorised technical data and relevant standards.
- Authorised maintenance compliance — Strong understanding of authorised personnel, data, tooling, and procedural requirements in a regulated aviation maintenance environment.
- Resource and asset coordination — Skilled in allocating personnel and ensuring facilities, tooling, and equipment are available, serviceable, calibrated, and fit for purpose.
- Safety and reporting culture — Demonstrated commitment to product safety, human factors awareness, occurrence reporting, and timely escalation of safety or compliance concerns.
- Workforce capability management — Ability to ensure personnel are trained, competent, current, and resourced to meet delivery outcomes.
- Regulation qualifications and experience – satisfy requirements to be eligible for DASR Form 4.
