Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Radway Green – Onsite
Salary: £45,177 + 18% shift allowance (Alternate day & noon shifts)

Core Duties:
- Support day to day resolution of shop floor quality issues
- Analyse and report on quality issue resolution using core quality tools, i.e. Root Cause Analysis, 8D, Six-Sigma, Minitab etc
- Working closely with multiple support functions within manufacturing to maintain shop floor documents and records
- Drive and support targeted CI (Continuous Improvement) activities, focussing on: (A) Reduced Rejects and Costs & (B) Improved operational workflows, throughput, and efficiency
- Monitor, analyse and act on reject data for scrap / cost of poor quality
- Support of audits on site, both internal and external to ISO 9001 – ensuring robust corrective actions are in place when problems have occurred
Essential Skills:
- You will have a qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (Engineering degree, HNC, HND) or time served in an Engineering discipline with substantial experience in the skillsets listed below
- You will have excellent numerical and mechanical comprehension
- You will have experience within a high volume and highly regulated industrial environment (I.e. Defence, automotive, nuclear, aerospace etc)
- You will have knowledge of root cause analysis tools: 8D, Six Sigma
- ISO 9001 internal auditor certification is desirable
The Quality Engineering team:
As part of the BAE Systems Radway Green Quality Team, you will have the opportunity to ensure the successful manufacture and delivery of our products, manufactured and assembled on site, to a range of customers. The work we do is vital to the defence and security of the UK, and our allies, which means there is always plenty of interesting areas of work to get involved in.
