What you’ll be doing:
- Identify, assess and mitigate risks to BAESS Barrow Site operations using SSSCR capabilities
- Engage stakeholders to mitigate risk, support BAU activity, and provide tactical oversight of operations and incidents
- Direct contracted security and control room staff on security posture in response to business needs and incidents
- Provide tactical command leadership during incidents, including those involving DNA, DNI and ANM, enabling unified command
- Coordinate and support multi-agency incident response, including reception, staging and integration
- Apply JESIP and the National Decision Model to assess risk and activate Tactical or Strategic Command as required
- Review, debrief and improve incident response and BAU processes to support recovery and business continuity
- Ensure compliance through effective quality assurance and business process management
Your skills and experiences:
- Strong understanding and application of integrated incident response principles, gained in a corporate security or emergency preparedness management role, defence, emergency response organisation or military environment.
- Strong Stakeholder Management experience. The ability to work with people, both internally and externally, to build support to achieve intended outcomes.

The Tactical Command Team:
The post holder will assess, risk manage and co-ordinate an effective initial response to any emerging incident in order to protect BAE Systems, its people, infrastructure, information and assets, as well as the interests of its shareholders and customers, and to fulfil regulatory and legal obligations.
In support of the safe and secure operation and emergency response of the BAES Barrow site the post holder will co-ordinate resources, communications and command and control from a holistic incident response perspective and would be the spontaneous tactical command lead as part of the incident command structure at the site in support of the Security Fire & Resilience Department (SF&R) mission statement: To enable the safe, secure and resilient delivery of the Submarines Mission and allow the company to respond to any incident (regardless of the cause) in a swift, combined and co-ordinated manner. We offer relocation support across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
