Job Title: Project Accountant

Salary: £47,683+ depending on skills and experience 

What you’ll be doing: 

• Maintain and enhance controls within project finances to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial management
• Drive improvements in skills, knowledge, and capabilities within the organisation to enhance overall performance
• Provide essential support to Cost Account Managers and budget holders, as well as non-finance functions such as Project Management and Commercial teams
• Support in achieving internal and external targets, both financial and non-financial, as necessary to ensure the success and growth of the business
• Support provided to work towards achieving full qualification in CIMA and other relevant certifications, offering a clear career progression and development pathway 

Your skills and experiences: 

• CIMA, ACA or ACCA – Part Qualified
• Advanced Excel skills

The Project Finance team: 

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Project Finance Capability Centre. We successfully launched the new AIR PFCC operating model and now we are moving into the next stage of our growth path hence the need for additional professional support. 

As Project Accountant you will be working within a team 8-10 finance professionals within the wider capability of 150 individuals, delivering into the business supporting multiple value streams and contracts. BAE Systems Air Sector is a through-life business which delivers advanced military air capability both to our UK and many overseas customers.  Air E&I (Europe & International) is responsible for the delivery of our European & International commitments for Typhoon, Tornado and Hawk, including production of aircraft, aircraft capability upgrades, and provision of through life support.
