Job title: Project Engineer – Flight Systems / Team Leader

Salary: £ 53,569 – £65,473 (dependent on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
- Overseeing the production of Flight Systems engineering data to meet project requirements in line with agreed standards and procedures, whilst maintaining quality, cost and schedule adherence
- Liaising with other engineering and project areas in a collaborative environment to develop engineering solutions
- Planning, performing and guiding engineering tasks dependent on lifecycle phase which could include requirements development, system and equipment design and development, modelling and analysis, system integration, qualification and certification, and testing
- Reviewing and approving specifications, reports and proposals, ensuring technical accuracy and task requirements have been achieved
- Steering new systems development through implementation of best practice systems lifecycle processes
- Providing overall team leadership and management, guidance and coaching, including responsibilities for task management and prioritisation, performance management, staff development and support, cost control and technical quality
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Degree or equivalent experience or qualification in relevant STEM subject (Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Physics/Maths/Science)
- Demonstrable knowledge of the system engineering lifecycle with ability to apply good systems engineering practices to your work
- Extensive experience in Mechanical, Electrical or Fluid Systems Engineering, preferably in an aerospace application, would be expected
- Ability to apply previous learning and experience to offer guidance, support and leadership to others
- Ability to effectively research system design data and apply to complex problems
