Job title: Technician – Materials Technology (Non-Metallic)

What you’ll be doing:
- Facilitating the safety assessment of proposed build support materials
- Liaising with material proposers and the safety assessment SME’s
- Support audits of stores and build environment, looking at the use of materials
- Discuss and identify required testing required on materials and support the provision of test samples
- Maintain the material information records in associated databases
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- Good practical understanding of elements of mechanical systems (seals, gaskets)
- Experience with stakeholder management
- Ability to understand technical information

The Materials Assurance team:
As a Technician, you will be working alongside a team that is working across all three current submarine programmes. You will be supporting the safety assessment of material used on the submarine build line with a focus on temporary build enablers. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
