Job Title: Security Governance, Risk and Assurance Manager

Salary: Circa £65,000 depending on skills and experience 

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead the design and implementation of a compliance and assurance capability for Maritime Services covering all aspects of protective security
• Ensure security compliance is supported by effective policies, procedures, and processes, incorporating new controls for a robust assurance system
• Drive continuous improvement in security assurance through data, statistical analysis, and reporting
• Assess and update security measures to ensure policies and procedures reflect current developments
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local functions and business representatives

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Relevant security qualification from a recognised certified body
• Proven experience in delivering security management and safeguarding high-value assets
• Strong understanding of government and industry security policies, standards, and best practices
• Demonstrated technical expertise and skills, reflective of a security professional with increasing responsibility

Desirable:

• ISO27001 Lead Auditor, Certified Information Security Auditor, or equivalent certification
• Knowledge of security management, including physical security, information security, incident management, investigations, crisis management, and personnel security

The Maritime Services Management Information Team:

Join us as the Security Governance, Risk, and Assurance Manager, where you’ll lead the development of a comprehensive security audit and assurance program for Maritime Services.
