Job title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Brough, Portsmouth, Weymouth, Filton, Frimley or Manchester. This is a full time on site position
Salary: £38,734 plus depending on skills & experience
What you’ll be doing:
- You will provide SQEP Input to electrical elements of Strategic Weapon Systems/Strategic Weapon Support Systems including planning, drawing and technical reviews
- Act as a Technical Author for Strategic Weapon Test Organisation Technical documents
- Oversee and administer various Strategic Weapon Systems and Strategic Weapon Support Systems documents
- Lead in management and control of Strategic Weapon Test Organisation Material readiness
- You will have the opportunity to engage and collaborate with BAE, The UK Ministry of Defence and the US Department of Defence engineers
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- You be required to hold a HNC in an electrical discipline or hold equivalent experience in the shipyard
- Electrical Engineering experience
- Demonstrable engineering project involvement within a team
Desirable:
- Test and Commissioning Electrical Systems experience
- Submarine Electrical Engineering and/or SWS and technical support experience

The Technical Service Support Team:
A multi-discipline team of 12 within the wider Strategic Weapon Test Organisation on the Dreadnought Class of Submarines in Barrow. This is an exciting time to join the Strategic Weapon Test Organisation as Dreadnought transitions from the build into the test and commissioning phase. This role offers an individual an opportunity to be at the forefront of the Dreadnought Programme, interfacing with US and UK Partners in both the UK and abroad in a dynamic environment in support of the Shipyard Installation and Test Programme. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
